As the first album from the legendary Busta Rhymes in eleven years, Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God, Rhymes enlisted Chris Rock to tease the album announcement. Arguably Busta Rhymes' best album to date, he leaves no stone unturned perfecting his craft and finding the right production to fit his styles. Word is, Busta has been sitting on some of this production for a very long time (22 years in at least one case). The album features many heavyweights like Vybez Kartel, Kendrick Lamar, Ol' Dirty Bastard (R.I.P.), Rapsody, Mary J. Blige, Andreson .Paak, Rakim, Pete Rock, M.O.P., Rick Ross, Q-Tip, Mariah Carey and more! The whole (hip-hop) world is talking about this project right now, and while some of that is the industry's "machine," a lot of it is simply a testament to the great music put forth on the album by Busta. Rumors of a deluxe-like edition are already floating around, but for now, dig into the album below and let me know what you think! Sidenote: Salute to Busta because all artists have nothing but good things to say about his character and friendship. In this business, that's saying an awful lot, so props to him for that too.
