"Founding Fathers: The Untold Story of Hip-Hop" (Documentary)


Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, Grand Wizard Theodore; these are all names associated with originating hip hop. But what about the people that influenced them? Of course, the legends of funk, R&B, Soul, Reggae, Disco and more were huge influences on the acknowledged pioneers of the art we call hip hop. The documentary “Founding Fathers: The Untold Story of Hip Hop” explores the history of the culture that is not often exposed. Narrated by Chuck D of Public Enemy, the documentary is a factual report about unsung DJ’s who contributed to the foundational principals of the music known today as Hip Hop.
