This right here is the kind of tape that makes it much easier for me to blend the concept of a nostalgia site that also supports artists that carry the essence of hip-hop forward into the future. The Michigan spitter Jon Connor has released a tribute to the late great Notorious B.I.G. with his #BestInTheWorld mixtape series - his last mixtape was Kanye West-themed. Here, Connor spits over classics like "Everyday Struggle," "Juicy," "Who Shot Ya," "Unbelievable" and others with plenty of bars and flavor to make this a must-listen. To give the tape a promotional boost, he taps DJ Khaled to host the mix, which adds nothing to it for me personally, but I'm all for it if it brings more listeners to the table.
